PowerFlare
My good friend Nicholas gave me one of these for my birthday. Thanks
Nick! You should know I'm keeping the hockey puck-sized PowerFlare in my glove box. Its lithium battery
has a 10-year shelf life so it'll be ready to go when I need it. It has ten
different flashing patterns including "SOS" Morse code and can run for up to
100 hours, depending on the pattern selected. Invented by a highway patrol
officer, the "military-grade polymer" shell is so tough, it's said you can
drive a truck over it. (Haven't tried that yet.) $46.95 at
Columbus Supply.
